    Find your self a grenade military ammo box. Mount it the steel plate on the front of your tractor. The holes are all ready in the plate. At the right height it will not interfere with the loader or brush guard. Mine works great on my 2025R.

    The round support pipe near the bucket on the loader. It can easily be used if you need to take the bend out of a steel T fence post. Also you can use it to bend rebar if you are pouring concrete and need to make some of them bent. I use the bucket lock when I have something in the bucket and need to get off the tractor to fix something. It keeps the bucket from lowering due to hydraulic 'bleed off' after some time.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors 16 днів тому

      Yanmar Japan owns 30% share of the ITL's Solis brand... some of the tractors previously sold by Yanmar in the US were ITL tractors. The engine in the H26 are in fact Mitsubushi engines. The mid range tractors in the 35-45HP range that they are working to release have Yanmar engines but the price point of the engine needs to come down for them to be competitive in the US. Larger tractors, specfiically the 75HP shipping soon have a proprietary engine made inhouse by ITL

    Lower the prices....dont come over here because the prices of tractors are inflated...come here to beat competition.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors 16 днів тому

      The will win tractors on value... more features for a lower price. durability and style are also factors. It will take time for them to build up a reputation for service and support in the US market but they are winning in Europe and are in 150 countries. Solis is not taking the big bang approach that Mahindra took where they ended up on every corner and eventually had grown too quickly... they are expanding slowly and methodically.

    How often do you have to apply the Cutrine Plus? I started using it a couple of weeks ago and so far so go, but we have a hot spell coming and that's when all the algae grows. I don't know if I should apply before the growth starts or wait? Also, I got dye is as well. Thanks for that tip!

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors 23 дні тому

      So I spray the Cutrine on floating algae. Cycle tends to be about every 14 days. I’m not there full time so I just spray when it looks bad. The dead floating algae will sink but this is sped up with heavy rains. So when spraying the floating mats I’d wait 12-14 days. If you don’t get much more I’d hit it when it starts getting unsightly. Hope that helps. The dye I use monthly and to save money in the summer I may only add a bottle or two when outflow is low. So with 4 acres I usually do 4 concentrated quarts or 4 gallons non-concentrated and then maybe 2 next month and then 4… it’s all a big trial and error science project and conditions vary lol. My goal is to keep it looking the best I can when I can. My pond company that I had paid for the first couple of years started arriving in late April, launched a boat and did a heavy treatment then every two weeks walked the bank spraying floating algae and would add dye and possibly some Cutrine from the edges. I was never positive if they were just pouring in Cutrine. Since it is chelated copper it stays in the water column longer than some of the other algaecides I’ve reviewed like Crystal Blue.

    That is one of the most useful things on a tractor. Your implements will work much better with it. People will go from it is working okay to it is working like I hoped. For example I brush hog about 14 acres of lawn. Tiny adjustments make it go from looking brush hogged to better than cut with a zero turn.

    Is the float a function of the tractor or hydraulic top link?

    • @hardybrothersproductreviews
      @hardybrothersproductreviews Місяць тому

      So in this scenario the float that I’m referring to is on the mower where the toplink connects. There is a pivot point that if you have your toplink tight there is no “float” or pivot but if you have it extended there is float. In terms of hydraulic capabilities the tractors rear control valve is controlled by a lever by the seat that also has a float function. I suppose when engaged that would allow the top link to stay fully extended to enable the float on the mower but that is not how I was using it. Sorry if this is confusing but I had not considered it the way you asked.

    Does this still work if you have the solo stove on one of their stands, lifting it a few inches from the ground? Wondering if that would allow for a gap to let in air and keep the fire going. Thanks!

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors Місяць тому

      Yes it does and the Solo stove branded stand was actually in use during this demo. Couple of things I've learned since using... 1) obviously the bigger the fire the more the smoke and smoldering and possible discoloring of the surface it is on top of... in my case the mat which has come clean, but a deck or patio may not. 2) As i showed the removal after choking the fire, i suggest leaving it alone for longer than 15 minutes... I pulled it off the other day after say 8 minutes on a coal bed of about 3 hours of burning and the surge of oxygen reignited it somewhat aggressively... Put it on and leave it on, it will do its job. Overall been very happy with it. If this was helpful, please consider using my link here and I'll get a small commission at no cost to you. It looks good enough to me, but I really don’t know how much water you get running through there. More importantly I hope you learned to never go do any construction work without a shovel, hammer, sledge, pick, saws of some kind for wood and metal, breaker bar, screw gun and maybe some dynamite 😁. It’s better to have and not need, than to need and not have. I did enjoy the video, young man, thank you for sharing

    Just bought a bonfire 1.0 second hand for $70 and had my first fire in it tonight and I was impressed. Now I’m going to bed but it still has hot embers in there. I’m not worried about it too much as it’s in my lawn and mostly petered out but this cover looks like it would be a big help

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors Місяць тому

      Yeh the bonfires are great fire pits and $70 is a steal! I agree in most cases a few embers are likely not a concern... I have found this cover to bring some piece of mind if there is any hint or forecast of wind after hours. Couple of tips I've found on the Solo Stove... burns better and hotter with wood that fits below the holes at top edges and obviously the drier the better to avoid any smoke. We find it takes a bit of time to get hot enough to recycle and burn off the smoke. Here is a link to my other channels playlist of "accessories"... the Handles are nice to have... i have both an off brand lid as well as the Solo stove lid... both are nice if you have it out and its not covered to act as a side table. Great product overall but even better if you can not brake the bank paying full price as you have! ua-cam.com/play/PL1A8tIKFgP4CA802Dhz4alMt2NaEC7KZi.html

    I have a question on your backhoe I bought a 1025r John Deere with an older black hole I bought a sale and the brackets on the tractor will not match the plate that's on the backhoe

      Hey sorry but unfortunately I’m not sure about backhoes on the 1025R. I do know they are completely different frames and hookups for the one series vs gen 2 two series. Might be worth throwing some photos up on the John Deere 1025R group on Facebook or the Green Tractor Talk forum on the Internet. Lots of great help in both places.

      yeh that is the new version, prior one had two 4ah batteries... No clue why Greenworks started doing that, maybe to lower the price or maybe they had feedback that folks didn't need a full 90 mins in most situations.

    What is the real difference with the 22" one model# 2548102?

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors Місяць тому

      if my google search was correct, this was the model offered by Costco? One of my main gripes with Greenworks is the various model and lack of transparency with comparisons... But if that is in fact the model you are inquiring about... Compared to the model I bought direct from Greenworks - the Costco model offers an additional uplift blade, the batteries are shorter and thus lighter weight, and it did not have a dual battery charger but one rapid charger. I now possess two of these mowers, one is the Costco version and i cannot tell the difference between the two mowers... Costco usually also offers a better warranty. Hope that helps!

      While I have not put hands on the 26HST European version, it is my understanding that these are essentially the same tractor with the engine tuned to the HP output that best fits the market and regulatory situation.

      So i can't speak for all brands and all products but all of them will state on the label if any duration is required prior to swimming, drinking, irrigation, or watering livestock. Crystal Plex from Crystal Blue is an algaecide and it says safe for treating livestock water supplies. The key is to read the label and mix according to the specifications. I have a whole list of items I've used, but I don't have livestock... I do however swim in the pond and eat fish from it. At least you know where the property line is. Where the green grass starts. Good review. I'm still debating on which one (brand). Many seem to be relatively the same. I have a Craftsman and it works great except for worthless batteries. That's one brand I won't buy again. But Ryobi, Milwuakee (too expensive) or Ego? The fact Costco has them is a plus for me. Thanks!

      Costco is definitely a plus, their customer service is top notch. I don’t think they are doing the extended battery warranty anymore but not sure. i really like splitting in the vertical position for safety and comfort: 1) as you said, some logs almost explode sideways from the splitting head and if you are horizontal and on the side you will get hit: in the vertical position and sitting in the front, I am out of the sideways path; 2) i don't like lifting logs! I roll them into place, and that saves my back; even small ones I just stand up close by; 3) i sit on a log so I am comfortable as well. I really don't see why anyone would want to lift logs all day! ok...maybe if they need a workout ;0)

    Thanks, I'm in the market for a purchase but I was wondering if it was really worth it. I have a back hoe on an 88 HP tractor and it is taking me forever to dig out some rather large stumps and I have hundreds of them on my property. This is the first video that broke this down in a very concise way that made me understand the time factor and how to set up the back up camera. Great job guy's! I believe I am ready tor make a purchase now and that it will be a big asset to my back hoe for doing this type of work.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors 2 місяці тому

      Thanks Rod, glad it was helpful to you. One variable that will impact time per stump is the age and tree type. Those were pine stumps so a little softer and thus a little faster. I too have a backhoe, but only on my JD 2032R, and i agree, lots of time trying to get them dug up and i've seen numerous folks bend their hydraulic cylinders digging stumps.

      Thank you very much! Couple lessons we’ve learned since. Logs are better than pallets as there are no nails left over when everything rots down. Also we left some autumn olive stumps that weren’t treated well enough to completely kill them and we got some regrowth back within the piles.
